CORONA - Cold War Winner!

Now it can be told. The story of the development of satellite reconnaissance systems. In the 1960s I worked for Art Lundahl who often said, we NPIC employees had a seat "on the 50 yard line of history." Art, who headed CIA's National Photographic Intelligence Center (NPIC) briefed President Kennedy on the Soviet Surface-to-Surface Missiles in Cuba in 1962. In 1963 I joined the organization as an Imagery Analyst working with satellite photographs of the Soviet Union and other denied areas of the world. I was a part of the CORONA Program, the photographic satellite that replaced the U-2 Reconnaissance Aircraft shot down over the Soviet Union in May of 1960. Very few people in the Intelligence Community were aware of the system because of its classification. The material from CORONA was declassified in 1995 and is now available to the public. It is time to tell this part of the Cold War story, and this E-book is a start. Other publications are in the planning stage, and will be released when completed. Stay in touch. Jan Kozak's Paper

Just after WWII ended in Europe, the Communist members of Parliament in Czechoslovakia put a plan in place to turn the country into a Communist state in three years.  The plan worked and the Soviets adapted it for use in other areas of the world.  Could it happen in America?  You bet it can.  Look at what is going on today in Washington.  Here is what Kozak had to say: "Our experience." says Kozak, "provides notable and practical proof that it is possible to transform parliament from an instrument of the bourgeoisie into an organ of power for the democracy of the working people [i.e., a Communist dictatorship], into a direct instrument of power for the peaceful development of the socialist revolution."
